LICENSED ARCHITECT

JOB DESCRIPTION

CORE is seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Architect for the conceptualization, design, planning, and execution of facility related architectural projects, ensuring that they meet client requirements, adhere to building codes and regulations, and are completed successfully.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with clients to determine project objectives, outline goals, and establish budget limitations
  • Develop architectural designs and detailed construction drawings using CAD software
  • Create and present design proposals, including 3D models and visualizations, for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, adhering to project objectives and requirements
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal and industry standards throughout all design and construction phases
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate building conditions and provide recommendations for design enhancements
  • Work in conjunction with engineering and construction teams to ensure design specifications are accurately translated into construction plans
  • Review and evaluate contractor bids, proposals, and construction documents to guarantee quality and adherence to project specifications
  • Oversee construction progress and deliver regular updates to clients and project stakeholders
  • Work with diverse teams, including architects, drafters, engineers, and contractors, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and successful project completion
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architectural design and construction

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Current NCARB registration and a license to practice architecture in Michigan (and other states, preferably)
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience, with a preference for candidates who have experience working with industrial, commercial, multi-family and municipal projects
  • LEED accreditation preferred
  • Strong proficiency in architectural software, including Revit and AutoCAD
  • Firm understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) preferred
  • Extensive expertise in architectural principles, building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methodologies
  • Outstanding design and visualization abilities to effectively communicate concepts and ideas
  • Excellent planning and people skills with the ability to manage time in a dynamic environment
  • Strong computer skills

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

CORE is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer for designing electrical power and lighting systems for a variety of project types ranging from education (k-12), heavy industrial, commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create detailed plans and specifications for electrical systems and equipment
  • Analyzing client requirements, understanding specific equipment requirements, conducting feasibility studies, and determining the most suitable design approach
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction documents
  • Formulating project scope by defining objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources
  • Estimating projects by assessing materials, labor, and other associated resource costs
  • Perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment
  • Consult with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential projects
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, codes and ordinances, as well as customer requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 1-3+ years experience as an electrical engineer with a focus on electrical power, lighting, and communications system design for building commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
  • Excellent planning and people skills with the ability to manage time in a dynamic environment
  • Understanding of electrical engineering safety standards
  • Strong computer skills
